It is the small things that we add to our gardens that can make the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. Good design is key, but once you have that in place it is time to find the extras that will give it style: the right garden bench, a perfect latch for the fence, colorful pottery, or even just a whimsical hose guide that enhance the overall feel of the garden. I’m not very good at keeping up my garden journal, but I do take lots of pictures. In fact, I get some of my best ideas from other gardeners, and here are a few of my favorite photos from my summers journeys that may provide inspiration for next years garden.
