But the voice on the other end of the phone encouraged me to purchase the extenders, taking the hoops up to 8 feet tall. It’s not even July, and I just added the extra sections to contain the jungle of growth. Always one to choose aesthetics over practicality, these cages may not be as charming as my bamboo tepees of former garden years, yet judging by the health and vigor of the plants, it was definitely the right choice. Highly recommended for anyone who loves to grow tomatoes, cucumbers or anything that climbs.
